He paid his college tuition by sweeping floors at the S.S. Kresge store in Burlington. This began a 45 year career at Kresge’s and, as a Vice President, he directed the development of the K-Mart Division and became known as “Mr. K-Mart.” He married Winona Rynott in 1925. She was a loving, stable force for Lloyd and their two sons, Richard and James. They established a one million dollar trust with the SCC Foundation in 1991.SCC is the sole beneficiary and the earnings are used for student scholarships. The Yohe Memorial Library was dedicated in the family’s honor on November 12, 1997.
