Dr. Cindy C. Murphy is the Coordinator of the Office Administration Program and a Business Instructor at Southeastern Community College from 2000 to present. Dr. Murphy received a Diploma in the SCC Secretarial program (1976), an Associate of Arts Degree from SCC (1978), a Board of Governors Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Illinois University (1988), and a Masters in Business Administration Degree (WIU 1997). She earned her Doctorate in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University (2008).
Cindy started her career at Southeastern Community College as the executive assistant to the President from 1981-2000. While in that position, she assisted with the management of the SCC Foundation, served as Assistant Board Secretary in 1993 and Board Secretary starting in 1994. She spearheaded the development of the SCC Alumni Association in 1992, serving twice as its President. Dr. Murphy is an active member of numerous professional organizations.
Cindy was named Outstanding Support Staff Person through IACCT (1998) and was named Western Illinois University’s Outstanding MBA Graduate Student (1997).
