Kathy graduated from Southeastern Community College in 1981 with an Associates of Arts degree. She returned to SCC and completed an Associates of Science and Associate Degree of Nursing in 1984. As a nurse Kathy has experienced acute care, skilled care, school nursing, psychiatric and mental health nursing, nursing management, business development, and business ownership. She is currently the president and CEO of Advanced Home Health Care in Keokuk, Iowa.
Kathy was and continues to be encouraged by her family including her husband, daughter, and parents, as well as teachers, friends and colleagues in all that she does. She credits their support in her success.
While attending Southeastern Community College Kathy learned many lifelong lessons and met many lifelong friends and mentors. “Jim Bowles who got me in the door to the instructors, Tom Gardner, Bill Dawkins, Fred Karre, Marge Leonard, Nancy Hodson, Wanda Gaylord, Mary Ann Philp and Anna Willcutt.
