Tom Haas received his Associate of Science degree from Southeastern Community College in 1976, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa in 1977, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University in 1995.
After starting a career in St. Louis as a cartographer (1978 – 1981), he worked as a computer programmer/analyst at Sheaffer Pen Co. in Fort Madison, Iowa (1981 – 1984). Tom began his career at Southeastern Community College in July of 1984.
He has held a variety of positions at the College including Data Processing Center Supervisor, Registrar, and Business Instructor. He has also been involved in numerous volunteer activities including Chair of the Registrars group for the Iowa Community College Student Services Association, vice president of the NauvooColusa school board, and lifetime charter member of the SCC Alumni Association.
Tom and his wife LuAnn, are the owners of the Nauvoo Pharmacy in Nauvoo, Illinois, and are the proud parents of three sons
